Derby Lions Club

Derby Lions are the local branch of Lions Clubs International. Lions Clubs International is a network of 1.3 million men and women in 200 countries and geographic areas who work together to answer the needs that challenge communities around the world. Internationally known for working to end preventable blindness, Lions participate in a vast variety of projects important to their communities. These projects range from cleaning up local parks to providing supplies to victims of natural disasters. Beginning in 1917 the association of Lions clubs has provided millions of people with the opportunity to give something back to their communities. Founded in 1973, Derby Lions is a group of around 25 local people who together with their spouses give freely of their time to raise money for distribution to the needy in the Derby area and Worldwide. You will see us with our Barrel Organ outside various supermarkets, Book Sales, our Annual Golf Day at Mickleover Golf Club, Choir Concerts and assisting Santa at Findern Garden Centre.

We meet twice each month at the Mickleover Golf Club, on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 8p.m. The second of these meetings is a Social/Dinner where our partners are invited.  We enjoy all that we do - Lions are bound together by friendship, cooperation and understanding. We always welcome new members so if you are interested please email below
